This is the first gig on the first day of a new year. It is also a full moon.

Another early show for the kids. After a New Years' Eve at Diesel's, I was kinda worn out and spent today just getting over it.

Nash and I went to the club at 5 pm to get things together for tonight.

Technical difficulties abound because Nash continues to work with rented equipment. He's a little more mellow than last week, but I'm still waiting for the curses.

This night the dog-humans are out in force so I'm not feeling the psychological brunt of the boss's tirades. Dr. K, Ivanna, Vanessa, Kim, Lorin, Weez, Bruce, Ratch, etc. all say hello to me.

Before the show, Nash takes me out for a stroll at the local park. It's so cold, you could put my dump on display at the ROM and it wouldn't thaw for a week.

The sound system is back to scratch, and the film is well received once again.

You could hear a pin drop after the volcano. A sure sign the kids are paying attention.

After a short intermission, Nash does a final set of vocal material, and the audience is satisfied. The parents like Phasors and the kids like Guns and Sandwiches.

I was finished protecting the dressing room, so I came downstairs to say goodnight to all.

These early shows are a great idea. Start at 7:30 and end by 10. Then I get to hang out with all my friends. Everyone seems more functional than the usual 2 am crowd.

Tomorrow should be a good turn-out because the Toronto Sun did a HUGE photo and promo for the Saturday gig.

Now if only Nash can get the gear to function properly.
