This is the first of a two-nighter in a rock and roll room in small-town Port Credit. Although the intentions and hospitality are first rate, the sound system is not a professional set-up and Nash can't hook into the system properly. This is the first time we have run into this problem in many gigs. For tonight, Nash attempts to play his stage monitor at deafening volume, but that just creates distortion. This is not an easy gig. The audience is very rock and roll and have no patience for technical difficulties. Their indifference to Nash is shown by their lack of interest in puchasing the new CD. Normally, a crowd of 60 people would buy 6 to 10 CDs. Tonight, only one person purchased a CD and that was for their mother for Christmas. Digger |
