An attempt is made to improve the sound but things get worse. The amp is overloading and cutting out. The volume has to be turned down to save the amp. The club then supplies their amp, but it also shuts down because the mixer is now set on overkill. There is no way to salvage this gig. Some members of the audience are drunk and nasty. Nash is now on full radar for bullshit. One more CD was sold to a big fan. By the way, Nash met many big fans these two nights, but none of them were willing to support the new CD. They also got to see the show for free and Nash got paid from the bar. These people won't even pay a cover charge to support local musical talent, but I bet they tip the local strippers big-time. As the porpoise said, "So long and thanks for all the fish." Where was I through all this? I decided to stay with my pal Diesel for two nights because Nash knew this gig was not doggie friendly. The place has the ambiance of a deaf glaziers' convention. More shouting and breaking glass than you can imagine. My nerves couldn't handle it. |
