Day off in Winnipeg. Scotty and Nash go over to Tiny's place, and have a great meal of Manitoba Pickerel and a jolly evening telling stories of life on the road. If only Dave Budini had his microphone for this one! We could write a book! Later, they return to the hotel and Nash goes off in search of new places to play in Winnipeg. Nash checks out a local club called the Pyramid Cabaret. Dave the owner and Nash talk about doing a show here. This is a fantastic club that will be great to play the next time Nash is in Winnipeg. The band playing tonight is See Spot Run, a popular pop band from Montreal. Because it's a Monday night, there aren't many people out for a band with a hit single. This is part of the problem of having a club in Winnipeg. You either get bands on an off night on the way to somewhere else, or you get them at the end of the tour. Either way, poor Winnipeg gets the shaft. The promoter was losing his shirt tonight. It was good to connect with the local rock mecca and forget about the casino. Nash will be back in Winnipeg soon.
