The Outpost, Lakehead Universtiy,
Thunder Bay, Ontario
Winnpeg/Northern Ontario Tour
Tuesday, November 3, 1999

This facility is part of the University campus. Being a small college, (4,500 students) they rely on the "townies" to come out and support these shows. The gig is in a very large room with a balcony and holds 700 people. As this gig is in the middle of the week, it is unlikely to be well attended.

It turns out there is a popular pub in town that offers $8 jugs of beer on Wednesday nights. Strike three your out. Only 30 people show up, but the performance and presentation are still first rate. It was an early show so Nash and Scotty get back to the hotel to rest up for tomorrow's long drive to Sudbury.

Technically, this gig was perfect. The crew was very professional, the sound and lights all first rate. The whole vibe with the staff was casual and friendly. Thanks to Heidi, Barb, Richard, Russ and all the gang who made it a great place to play. Maybe next time we can get more attention. I'll even come along to give the old geezer some support.
