The Townhouse
Sudbury, Ontario
Winnipeg/Northern Ontario Tour

This is the kind of gig Nash loves to do. Although not as sophisticated as the Casino or The Outpost, this venue has an intimacy that puts the music and the performance in their faces.

There is a cheer of anticipation from the crowd as Nash takes the stage. Something Weird on my TV grabs the crowd like a pitbull. Two sets of pure Thrash has the 160 people in attendance reeling with exhaustion.

The only downside to this gig was the lack of CD sales. Only 5 CD's were sold to a crowd of 160.

At the end of the night, Nash met some older fans, but even they didn't buy a CD. Perhaps everyone was broke, but people should know that as an independent, Nash's CD's are hard to find in the stores and the best place to get a copy is at the gigs. Plus, it is a big financial help to Nash to manufacture more product.

Thanks to Paul, the manager, Belgium the doorman and Doug the soundman for a great gig. Check out Doug's music site at http://music.sudbury.net.

Nash will definitely be back, and next time I'm coming along too. Due to the expensive hotel and noisy hockey players, Nash and Scotty pack up after the gig and drive to North Bay, a hour and a half away.
