With only a few days off from the Northern Tour, Nash and I hit the road together again. There is no roadie on this trip, so we drop into Kitchener to pick up our pal Lou who is coming to help set up the show.

This gig was postponed in October due to horrible weather, and mechanical difficulties with the van. As we leave Toronto, another downpour starts and Nash wonders if Stratford has a curse upon it.

The club is small but nice, with a very high ceiling. As Nash and Lou set up, I immediately make friends with the staff.

This is an Art Show presentation tonight, so Nash gets to sit on a stool and play mellow instrumentals for most of the night. The crowd is a mix of young and old, and they're very receptive to the show. Nevin, the club owner, is very cool. He buys a CD from Lou and then gives it away in a raffle. The lucky winner was one of the poor students in attendance.

I hung out at the back of the club. Everything was very casual and friendly. Lou and Nash pack up the stage and we drive back to Lou's to crash overnight.

Thanks to Nevin, James and all the staff for a really great time. This is a great gig that can handle any kind of show, and the staff and audience are eager for it.
