Day off in Cornwall
Cornwall, Ontario
Sunday, March 26, 2000

After spending all night talking, these lazy bums get up around 2 pm. I'm used to this schedule, and Nash always lets me out before retiring at dawn.

Nash, Ron and I go up to visit Ron's parents, who live a twenty minute drive north of Cornwall. They have an acre of land surrounding the house and a huge ravine and stream at the back of the property. I'm in doggy heaven.

Ron's parents, Lou and Irene live with Irene's 86 year old mother, Mary. They all came out to the gig last night and that makes Mary the oldest Nash fan ever in attendance. Mary is very lucid and says she can name over 300 direct relatives. She was born in a log cabin which still stands on the property.

We all have a great time enjoying the early spring weather and Nash particularly likes Irene's "roses". They come from Montreal she says.

We head back to Thom's around 9 pm and crash early, preparing for tomorrow's assault on the nation's capitol.
