Hamilton is just a short 45 minute drive along the QEW but today it takes 90 minutes to get there. There is nothing worse than being stuck in traffic when you're steaming to get to the gig. It is hot, humid and irritating.

Alex, the boss of my pal Diesel, is the stage tech tonight and he does a great job. Too bad Diesel can't join us for a gig but I'm afraid he'd wipe out the equipment before it was even set up. Diesel is my best pal, but he's a spazzy, overly friendly 120 pound Rottweiller. Me, I just like to lie down and chill out.

Barb is here tonight and Lou and Debbie take care of the door and merchandise. One thing about Hamilton, it brings out an assortment of characters at every show.

No matter where Nash plays, the darndest people show up. Teenage Head show up at an Art Show at the Mermaid Lounge and the Mushroom Gang from Toronto show up at The Corktown. Go figure.

This time the gang took a limo round trip. Serious devotion.

At the end of the evening Nash meets with Robert and Kelly. Robert and Nash reminisce about the old days of the Electric Circus, The Rock Pile, John Gibb and the Yorkville scene.

How these two old stoners can remember anything past last week is beyond me, but the memories are flying fast and furious. As Barb and Kelly sit bemused, Nash and Robert re-live their old lightshow days. There are only two fights in the bar tonight, one over the use of a barstool.

The Corktown has the greatest stage and sound system in one of the roughest bars in all of Nash's worldly travels. Too bad most Nash clientele won't go near the place.

It's safe to go in numbers because the fights always occur amongst the regulars. These regular patrons of The Cork refuse to pay the cover charge and expect to see the show for free.

I think every time Nash sees a fight happening, he should ring a bell on stage and stop the music. We then charge admission to all the music fans to go over to the other side of the bar and see a real white-trash bar fight.

Some humans like to watch us canines entertain them with a vicious dog-fight, and they pay plenty for the bloodlust.

Well, I'm gonna be collecting admission to this one.
