A surprise gig was booked in Cornwall at the last minute. Pedro's is a small club but with a good atmosphere. Our friend Tom put this gig together and because there's no cover charge, the place should be jumping. One problem with taking a last-minute gig is that the venue may not suite the kind of show Nash is doing. What this bar needs is a double dose of Nash Thrash but we don't have the sets prepared. All other venues are getting Nosferatu, but that wouldn't work well here. Instead, Nash challenges the audience with a performance of Bombardiers and then one last set of Thrash. The younger people in the crowded room are appreciative and their tolerance and interest in something new helps to keep the older rowdies from disrupting the performance. This is a club we can return to anytime. It's always a nice feeling when we can play to a new crowd and win them over. Thanks to Tom, Randy and Kevin for helping to make Cornwall a Nash and Digger kinda town. Digger |
