We're off to Kitchener and the Registry Theatre. We were here once before and our friend Coral is doing the promotion again so things should go well. Kevin, at X-Disc_Cee Music has been selling the advance tickets as well as the Nash CDs. There is a buzz in town and it's all about NASHFEARATU. This our second time at this wonderful theatre and Nash, Alex, Skot and I anticipate a great show. We arrive early to get the stage set up and then relax. I hang out in the theatre but I'd rather be on the front lawn chasing sticks. This gig is a very unique presentation of the films. The audience is unusually close to the stage and at eye level. It is very dark and dramatic. Kitchener is one of our favorite cities to play in, whether it's a Thrash show or a silent movie night. As in other cities, over the years there have been many venues come and go, but Nash always finds somewhere to do a performance. A lot of familiar faces show up every time and that's why Nash is eager to return. Allan, the manager of the theatre, tells Nash that he thinks the building is haunted. Late at night, lights keep getting turned off and on, especially downstairs in the dressing room. Oh great, this is where I'm gonna hang out for the evening's performance and I have to watch out for ghosts as well. You ever notice that only humans turn into ghosts. You never hear about ghost cats or dogs, or zombie hamsters. I wonder why? Although not sold out like the last time, the attentive audience is spellbound by the images and sound. After sustained applause and catching their breath, the crowd makes their way to the lobby to meet Nash and chat about his music. Some fans have seen Nash perform in Kitchener for over twenty years! The new CD of 'Normal' gets rave reviews from those who already have it, but it is the soundtrack CD to Nosferatu that everyone wants tonight. Thanks to Coral and Kevin for making this another successful event in Kitchener. Digger |
