Nash is off to the Hammer once again to present Nosferatu in an intimate cabaret environment. He has rented a van for this trip so there won't be the same problems he had last week trying to get to London. Alex is helping once again to set up the stage but our pal Skot can't make it to sell merchandise. Alex will do the merch for tonight as well.

The Casbah is a very nice club with good sightlines and great sound. It is connected to a Lebanese restaurant, hence the name. I'm not invited on this trip because this is a new venue for Nash and he doesn't want to create any problems with my presence. I just think he's worried I might end up as one of the main dishes on the menu.

As it turns out, the club is not actually part of the restaurant and there is a nice private dressing room, so next time I can go along.

The owner Derek is there when Nash arrives and, with the help of soundman Raymond, everything is running smoothly. Our friend Lou has been promoting the show and there should be a good turnout.

After a relaxing meal of delicious Lebanese food from the restaurant, Nash chats with old friends Lou, Lynn, Cove, Barb, Mike, Lisa and the members of Battleship Ethel. We'll be doing a show with these musical deviants in Toronto soon.

Being a Sunday night, the show starts earlier than usual. Let's hope the folks in Hamilton read the fine print and don't show up late. One can arrive late for a Thrash show, but if you're late for Nosferatu no one's gonna tell you the plot.

Hamilton is known for its vibrant live music scene, but this is a Sunday night and there has been a lot of competition this Halloween weekend. DOA, one of Canada's premier punk bands played on Friday night at another club, and there were two Fetish Nights in town as well. How is Nosferatu supposed to compete with anarchy and bondage attire?

A large number of tonight's patrons take advantage of the $2 discount coupon from the website. It's good to know the Hamilton fans appreciate the secret bonuses of being well informed.

Nash performs Nosferatu and then ends the evening with an encore of Un Chien Andalou. The enthusiastic audience gives a warm reception to the films and Nash enjoys chatting with many new fans at the end of the evening.

It's an early night and Nash and Alex get home to Toronto before midnight. I've been hanging out at Alex's place with my canine pals Diesel, Patches and Mac, and when the guys get home, Nash and Alex tell everyone what a great time they had.

We are all looking forward to another show in Hamilton very soon.
