Hailed as the first 'Super Group'. Blind Faith featured Steve Winwood on guitar, keyboards, and vocals, Eric Clapton on guitar and vocals, Rick Grech on bass and Ginger Baker on drums.
Although great musicians, the band had a poor chemistry. Clapton and Baker had come from the blues-based power trio Cream, whereas Winwood and Grech came from the more laid back experimental groups of Traffic and Family. Blind Faith just never had any fire in their bellies, and neither Clapton nor Baker could ignite that spark.
Blind Faith folded after one album and one tour.
Their Toronto date was a big deal and was held at Varsity Stadium (the same venue for The Toronto Pop Festival). There are very few pictures of the band in concert.
